Split dial watch
In this article, you will learn how to doSplit Dial Watcheswith your own hands - the idea is to have a regular watch face for three: hour, minute. second dial, each of which has its only arrow (hour, minute, second), dials are from left to right. The result is a very interesting watch.
Materials and tools:
- 3 movements or 3 hours;
- a piece of plywood - 72x27cm, or any other material that will serve as a tsferrbetom
- pencil, ruler;
Mark up a sheet of plywood - mark the width of the sheet and draw a straight line through the entire sheet. On this line, we make an indentation on the left and note the diameter of the dial and the distance between the dials (2 cm receded on the left, the diameter of the dial - 20 cm, the distance between the dials - 4 cm, again - 20 cm, 4 cm and 20 cm). Diameter of the dial is divided in half (10 cm) and mark the point where we will drill a hole for the shaft of the clockwork.
Sizes can be any, depends on your desire and imagination - it is better to first draw a sketch on paper and make a small calculation so that everything turned out smoothly and beautifully.
Check the holes at the target points for the shaft.
We take the clockwork and glue to the plywood, pushing the shaft of the clockwork mechanism into the drilled holes.
Install the arrows on the shaft. We install from left to right - on the first shaft - the hour, the second - the minute, on the third - the second. There is a place for each arrow on the shaft - be attentive.
In the pictures you can see how the clock shows - 12:00, 3:30 and 10:08.
Decorate the clock.
We put on the dial division plywood using a stencil. Then varnish the clock and leave to dry.
Here, only the division of the dial is applied - you can decorate whatever you want, it all depends on your imagination. You can pick up the picture, print, paste.
Try, experiment and you will succeed!
