"For wavy hair with a little texture, I recommend the curling cream and mousse together," says Nunzio Saviano, celebrity hairstylist and owner of Nunzio Saviano Salon in New York City. "The mousse keeps waves in place and gives it body, and the curling cream enhances the shape so it stays better throughout the day."
How to use it: Saviano shares this trick for air-drying: Squeeze water out with a paper towel. It's softer and gentler than a bath towel, which can stress the hair and cause frizz. Then, gently rake curling cream through hair with fingers and finish by crunching in a palmful of mousse. If your hair is straight, Saviano suggests tying it up in a bun or two braids to add some texture. Then obey the golden rule of air-drying: hands off! Saviano stresses that once you prep it, you have to act like you have no hair to touch. The more you touch it, the frizzier it can get.
