Cardboard Bracelet

In the vast ocean of modern jewelry you can find your jewelry for every taste and color. However, it would be so desirable that it would not be like everyone else. And here fantasy begins to work, new materials and techniques are being sought for the fulfillment of the desire of fashionistas. But today I want to share my experience in making a cardboard bracelet. Why cardboard? Firstly, it is an inexpensive material that will always be found in the house, secondly, ease of execution of the work, and thirdly, it will take about 2-3 hours in time. We will need to work: - corrugated cardboard; - old newspapers; - PVA glue; - paint (I used gouache); - mother-of-pearl paints; - acrylic varnish; - brushes; - scissors; - knitting needle No. 4. Cut out the form of a bracelet from cardboard. You can make a width as desired. I like wide bracelets, so my blank is 7 cm in width. Measure the length along the wrist. Important! The bracelet will be put on through the arm, so consider the width of the bud's folded palm. We paste the cardboard with two-sided adhesive tape. cardboard bracelet
Cut the newspaper into strips 2 cm wide, 9-10 cm long.

We glue the blank with newspapers according to the papier-mâché principle. Layer by layer avoiding gaps along the bracelet and across. This will strengthen our semi-finished product, will give the correct form. We leave to dry.

Now let's do the finishing elements. We cut the newspaper in three ways: 1 - strips 2 cm wide, 30 cm long; 2 - strips 10 cm wide, 20 cm long; 3 - strips 10 cm wide, 50 cm in length. With the help of knitting needles make tubes of newspapers. At the corner of the newspaper strip, at an angle of 450, we put a needle and wind the entire strip. We fix the edge with glue.
